you will be pissed.Having said that, this is still absolutely fucked up. People who should have known better also deserve not to be treated like shit. All of us should have known better at some points in our lives and didn't.
I understand if someone owned a Tesla from before and is unable to sell it and get something else (in which case they should throw one of the variations of anti-Elon sticker I have seen on there).
(Although worth noting that “had it coming” has strong implications of what comes being deserved, but I don't think that was what you intended)
It actually is, unless you don't want it to be.
Because you're not confronted with an endless number of situations where you need to be sympathetic. It's pretty easy to just decide to consistently be sympathetic. There is no sympathy meter inside you that prevents you from doing that.
> This thread is full of either trolls or unserious people
Well, I know I'm not the former, and I believe I'm not the latter. So if your experience is that you encounter lots of people who disagree with your position, and your reaction is to label them all as trolls or unserious, I would put it to you that you might just be wrong on all three counts.
I specifically mentioned __this thread__. I generally have an open ear to other perspectives, but just like my sympathy, my patience is limited (particularly in narrow contexts). You may be a genuine soul, but you are mistaken if you think sympathy or empathy don’t take energy. Surely you don’t think it is possible for humans to have endless energy. Let’s not throw good energy after bad. If we spend our energy on things that don’t benefit others, we are not spending it on somethings that matters.
Maybe we just have 2 different philosophies of life and you are more likely to walk in a labyrinth these days than I am. Once upon a time, I would’ve been beside you, but life has led me to make different decisions.
